Rachel Harris-Beck is a visual artist living in Horry County South Carolina. A Graduate in Studio Art from Coastal Carolina University. Her own artwork considers the effects of the visual image (and dialogue) upon memory and human legacy and searches for ways to improve traditional memorials, sentiments and heirlooms. She is also a proud new Auntie, a wife, a step-mom and mother to three furry love beasts! For Rachel, My Own Backyard is not merely a vision but, an essential for survival in an insecure, technologically zombified society. Stop. Think. Record. Pass Along...Move Forward. Be Well.

Casey Janowski is the artist behind Fartsy Arts, an educator, modern craft obsessed, coffee drinking, bunny lover who lives in Austin, TX. Casey attended Coastal Carolina University to earn her Bachelor of Art in art studio and after spending much of her time teaching, decided to return to Coastal to earn a Master of Art in Teaching for Art Education. As an AmeriCorps Alum, she is passionate about service to her community and what better way to combine community, service, and art than by having it all in one organization! Casey and Rachel share a common vision to create an organization that teaches people to work together, not against, to make the community in which we live stronger and happier and embrace each other for simply what we are.
